Canucks Vs Oilers Pre Game

Canucks Vs Oilers, SNET-P, TEAM 1040, 6:00 PST.

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I am still doing family things so I will keep this short before I need to run. What a day for sports today. Patriots, World Jrs. and Canucks, that's a great present on it's own.

Tonights game is an important one because it's in the division but it will be a tough game for the team to play. Everyone knows the Oiler's are a young and fast team so Vancouver can't afford to come out with a little Christmas hangover. If the team is a little slow early tonight it will be a tough game for them to play. If they come out like they did in CBJ it will be game over before Edmonton realizes Christmas is over.

Luongo spent the Christmas break in Florida with his wife and they are expecting a baby any time now. Because of this Cory Schneider will start back to back games. This is a bit of a surprise and if you take a look at my "Luongo Rest Plan" post you will see the upcoming weeks we'll probably be seeing a lot of Mr. Schneider. AV said "It's his time to play" so here you go everyone who wants more of Schneider. Nice to see we have a goalie who can give Lu a break when he needs it. Good luck to Luongo on the birth of his new baby and good luck tonight to Schneider in goal.

This is a team that Kesler has the ability to take the game over against and if he is playing like he has been recently he will do that. His speed matches well with the Oilers but where the Oilers lack Kesler has size and grit that will go unmatched.

If Kesler can't get it done the team will need another night of magic from the Twins. Against the Blue Jackets their passes were tape to tape, no look, behind the back, unbelievable plays. They looked like the Globe Trotters at times. Burrows' game is picking up against (thanks Kesler) and the Canuck's look very dangerous on offence.

Solid team game tonight will get the W anything less and the fans should be disappointed. It won't take a lot to beat Edmonton just play hard and make the right plays the puck will find it's way in.

Merry Christmas Holidays everyone!

Time to go watch Jrs.!
